Can you think of an event that happened to changed the way this country sees things in the 60's

Thanks,

The 60s were the age of the "sexual revolution"- this is the era where hippies got their start. It was a tremendous shift from the generally conservative values of the 50s.

Combined with these other factors was Vatican II, which introduced a number of reforms in the RCC, but also opened the door to all sorts of new abuses of authority. It led to a general state of chaos in the American hierarchy and in the seminaries, the effects of which are still being felt today.

"Sexual revolution"? This infection had always been there. It just came out of the closet. More like a "sexual revelation".

Sexual immorality has always been around, yes, but in the 60s, it gained widespread social acceptance.

Quoting James - Sexual revolution"? This infection had always been there. It just came out of the closet. More like a "sexual revelation".

Quoting Laudate - Sexual immorality has always been around, yes, but in the 60s, it gained widespread social acceptance.

Response - Like James said, it has always been around, and if you want revelation, check out Rome's past. Even in Corinth the church's assembly did not object to what was going on and Paul had to stop it. 1 Corinthians 5:1 - It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.

All here stated in the name of the Lord Jesus hopefully to God's glory - larry
